Went to the local gun and knife show and picked up a Spyderco D'Allara drop point. It is a substantial folder with the steel liners and nice grippy handle. It reminds me alot of my Benchmade 550. I think the D'Allara has a better gripping handle. But, the axis lock is easier to deploy and close the blade.

You really can't go wrong with either knife.

I paid $68 for mine at a dealer. Worth every cent. The D'Allara, like the Griptilian, is the bargain of the line. I purchased the Ritter RSK Grip which is a bit more expensive - yet still a bargain in my opinion. Both are smooth as silk to open and handle. I don't know which I like the best.

i want to handle a d'allara, i love my mini grips axis lock, and something similar on a spyderco would just plain be great
