I scanned a bunch of stuff this weekend, but the quality isn't great. I used Photoshop to blank out the background and it made the profiles of the knives a bit choppy, but they're good enough for the purpose. Also I had to use Photoshop to adjust the channel curves to lighten the scans and modify their contrast, so they are a bit washed out. Anyway, this first is my Hungarian Fighting Cleaver, then the Mini-Santoku, a modified REKAT Pioneer with purple heart scales, and finally an unfinished blade with a GREAT temper line.

The links are incorrect. I can't even type in the URL and get the image...geocities says it can't find it!

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

Well, they're working now, but the webpage I tried to set up is really acting weird, so I think the problem is with Geocities. Anyway, with the exception of the Pioneer, all the knives are differentially heat treated 1084 cut from 1/8" stock. The Cleaver is 1.5" wide, with an OAL of 8" and a 4.25" blade. Super sharp, and works great for everyday kitchen use. Handle is maroon Micarta with brass pin and thong liner, and a homemade brass/copper mosaic pin.

The Mini-Santoku is 6.75" OAL with a 3.5" blade. Roughly inspired by Spyderco's Santoku, on a 1" wide stock scale. Like the Cleaver it has a convex grind and is really sharp. In person you can see a slight temper line, even without etching. Handle is birdseye maple with staonless steel pins.
