Here's going to be my new little Quality Assurance Inspector: http://riflestocks.tripod.com/trixie.html

She is very young and is all air and fur. Weighs only ounces so far and full of piss and vinegar. I hope to begin her apprenticeship in a couple weeks or as soon as her new mother allows. She was one of several that was trapped from underneith a house after the mother dissapeared. She seemed the least tame and, of course, the one for us. The first several days was hard for her because of confusion and fear but now she has taken over title to the house and claims all she desires.

CATS!!!!!

okay, I had a nice little idea,,,,

I wanted to get rid of all the mice that are taking over my shop..

so I asked the wife, "Could you get me a cat for the shop?

well...one thing has lead to another,,,,FirstI had 2 cats,,,then one ran off, so i got 2 more, for a total of 3,,,then,,,,,,one of my girl cats turned out to be a boy...(Hey i never asked)..

Then we get the boy parts "fixed"...but too late,,,,,now we got 4 more cats!

the total is up to 7 now.....

(remember all i asked for was a "cat" for my shop)

Now the little kid from down the road came over to watch me make a knife,,,saw the kittens,,,wanted one,,,so,I did what any guy with 7 cats would do,,,I sent one home with the young man,,,(That will teach his parents to use me as a day-care)

Today,,I got Spark fixed,,,,,remember Spark?...Spark turns out to be a girl cat that is the most interested in knifes and the sparks from the grinder,,,she sits in the middle of the sparks and just looks at them fly around,,,,,

this leaves only 2 more female cats to 'fix" and then I can relax...

okay, "relax" is a term that means something else to a guy who now has 6 cats in his shop.....

(Oh,,,,but i dont get any mice anymore, thats for sure)

Roger - I think your hands are gonna be full! She looks more like a lynx than a kitty cat!:D

Roger shes has that look "And just why are you taking a picture of me?"

By the looks of her she is at least part Maine Coon so plan on her getting BIG! I've seen Maine Coons go as big as 35 lbs.

Have to agree with Wild Rose and southriv, she does look part Maine Coon. I am sure that you will have your hands full. In a good way of course.

Used to work out at the local airport and one couple used to fly in all the time that had a Maine Coon. Walked him around on a leash - biggest cat I have ever seen! (currently we have one out of seven left - she's 18 years old and too set in her ways to have kittens around - folks who call usually get to hear her yowl cause she doesn't like it when Dad talks on the phone!)

Not being one that came up with cats, but dogs instead, I must admit I never heard of Maine Coon cat. I do not know what kind that is. I will say that the other evening I was watching her and thought she favored a racoon in figuration. Also there have been a couple people and myself that have said that she is going to be a big cat. She is tiny right now but there is just something about the ears and proportional size of paws that indicates a big one.

Thanks Chuck. I'll be printing that out. I see a similarity in the picture except that our's is fluffier (at least so far).

Yep, she looks like a Maine Coon....I have two full blood Coon cats....both males. One weighs about 35 lbs and the other is about 25lbs.

I have two cats, but the shop is OFF LIMITS, too full of very interesting very dangerous things...

Chuck (Wild Rose),

I printed out and read the link you posted. It fits her to a tee, right down to the manorisms. In fact, from physical description, she is probably more than just part Maine Coon. She looks greatly Maine Coon. We'll know better as she matures.

Thanks for the great link.

very interesting peice Chuck

""Maine Coon. The only way to tell for sure if your cat is a Maine Coon is to look at the pedigree""

18 lb's is about as big as they get.
My Great Grand Mother had a bobed tailed cat that was BIG!
I don't know if they will breed with the bob cats here but it
could have been part Bob Cat by the size of it..
