Just got finished refinishing the handles on my 20" AK and my YCS. They both have 15-20 coats of Tru-Oil. It's quite relaxing for me to work on these for a few minutes each night. I also touched up the polish on the blades a little. Once over with dark gray compound, then the green chromium oxide. I use an 8" grinder and muslin wheels. So far I've been able to keep the wheels from grabbing the knife and throwing it. You must keep your concentration. Thanks for looking.

Great shots!

I like the look the true oil gave the wood. Really brings out the nice grain line that the wood has.

Thanks for sharing your pictures.
What type of camera are you using?

Thanks guys,
Camera is an old HPC200 1 Megapixel. I'd really like to have a better one, but this one is as good as my skills.

20" AK weighs about 2lbs. 3 oz.

Very nice, but I just can't quite see them clearly on the photographs. If you just send them to me so I can have a closer look, I promise, promise to send them back - tomorrow?

Well it works for the Caveman, doesn't it?

Why don't my pix look like that? Great work and great pix.

Mine usually don't. These were taken outside, where there's enough light for my POS camera. No flash.

I think your's look pretty good. They've made me buy 10 of them.:D
(though 4 were used ones from other forumites)
