Does anyone have an image of this knife? I am referring of course, to the newer VG-10 bladed models which apparently use a different flat style of grind, as opposed to the original hollow ground ATS-55 blades. Thanks for any help.

Jeff:
I don't have an image but I have examined the new VG-10 Delica and Enduras at a gun show and have seen one at a Sport Chalet store. With a passing glance it's hard to see a difference. But up close you can see it is a flat saber grind and the edge is thicker due to it. That also creates a slightly stronger tip due to more metal present.

I am glad the new Police model will still keep its present hollow saber grind. :D

James,

I am glad to hear that the Police in VG-10 will remain HG too. I will definitely be buying one of these in plain edge.

Jim,

I finally got a look at two examples of the new VG-10 Delica's today; both the plain edge and 50/50 models. I couldn't see any difference whatsoever in blade design, and I was comparing side-by-side with the "old style" blades. The only way I knew they were new is the "VG-10" on the base of their blades. These knives appeared to be fully hollow ground as the past ATS-55 versions were. Are these oddballs, like the hollow ground G-10 Police knives were for awhile? Am I just missing the difference in their design and appearance?

How did you notice their differences in appearance from the old style models? Please elaborate on your observations if you don't mind doing so. I plan to go back there tomorrow and have another look.

Puzzled, Jeff/1911.

Hi!
See my replies to your Delica thread in the other Spyderco forum and in my VG-10 Police thread here! :)
