I was up till midnight trying to get good photos of the new khukuris for the website. While I'm busy this morning updating the site, I thought I'd throw up a quick pic of the new panawals (the 15 and the 18 incher). The 18 incher pictured happens to be Steven's special order, but the rest are exactly the same (minus Steven's initials of course).

Steven: Your set goes out today. Everybody else: look for them (the panawals, at least) on the site this afternoon.

I'm really looking forward to getting these beauties! I know they'll be something that someday (in the distant future, I hope) I'll be proud to leave to my children.

Craig, I ordered two 18 inch Panawals -- one with a wood handle and the other with a horn handle. What I received today was an 18 inch Panawal (horn) and a 15 inch AK (wood). I'm not sure how this happened, but if you check back on the forum postings you'll see that nowhere, at any time, did I order this combination. Because I still do not have the pair of 18 inch Panawals that I originally ordered (after four months of trying), I admit defeat. I'll be returning the 15 inch AK, but will go ahead and keep the 18 inch Panawal. But I must admit that I am disappointed that my Christmas "special order" never came to be.

Well, I must admit that I too am saddened that your 18 inch AK never came to be either. Can you please tell us if the 18 inch Panawal was nice, or was it a complete disappointment? Will you be happy to hand it down to your children? I'd like to know, because as you all know, I take great pride in trying to bring you only the best.

I must say that your case has been a terrible exception to an otherwise perfect "special order" record. But, as often happens, Murphy rears his ugly head from time to time.

If anybody else wants a 15 inch AK with the initials, SFF, it's available for $40.00, shipping included. I'm sure the SFF can be removed, but I don't have the equipment to do it.

Steven, thanks for your patience on this one.
