Just a couple of pics. The Mater would've been handy for cutting these up, but it won't be here for at least a month, so I had to make do. :D

These things are pretty tough to slice! I had to use a cheapo paring knife last time and had a heckuva time. It was quite a bit easier with the pikal. The curve to the blade helps with rocking the knife back and forth to get it deep. Once the tough core is split, it's easy going. I love this knife!

LOL!!!!

Thanks for the review, Snow...guess we were all distracted by the other goings-on...*shrug*

My wife agrees 100% with what you posted (and uses our pikal parer nearly every day).

Yeah I can't blame everyone for not getting excited about 2 pictures, especially when there are passarounds and whatnot going on. I just wanted to show it being used, though.

Very cool! I think we might be onto the beginnings of our new kitchen knife set.

Some may find it hard to believe but I use my bushcraft in the kitchen quite a bit. It slices tomatoes like you wouldnt believe!!!

great suggestion....going to try that out asap.

I love the looks of the pikal. Looks like it could really slice some veggies!
