Pikuni VS EDC folder

First, I would like to thank all that contributed to my post regarding the Pikuni. Now I have a new question: how does it compare to the 154CM Camillus EDC folder?

I know taht a fixed and a folder aren't totally comparable, but I can really only afford one right now. I received an eamil advertising the EDC for 50 bucks, and taht seems like a good price.

As far as I see it, the Pikuni has if for field use, being a fixed blade and having G10 or Carbon Fiber scales. The EDC would be easier to carry around, and legal in more places than the Pikuni.

Just give me a personal opinion, if you wold, as to which oyu would carry if givent the option.

Thanks a bunch... I have been posting here off and on for about two years adn I ahve not been let down by the advice I have received thus far.

I like both a lot. This would be a tough one. I would go for the EDC in D2 or 154CM because it is easier to carry and is more likely to be acceptable in a wider variety of places.

Go for the best of both. EDC in D2. Only place I have seen them is AG Russell.

One more vote for EDC D2 :) Small, versatile and easier to carry.

Siletto,
You have pciked 2 great knives to chose from! I think you can't go wrong with either one. Regarding the EDC, check in the CAMILLUS forum @ noon est for an announcment regarding changes in that model for 2002.

BTW,
GET BOTH!

After seeing the new, improved EDC, I think I am going to wait for one of those. If it retails for 70 bucks, I will likely be able to find one for less than fifty. Thanks a lot for the help, guys. I am now convinced that I need an EDC, but I still crave that little pikuni, especially since th eplace I found is selling the ones with Carbon Fiber scalss for the same price as the G10s. Hmmm...
