Pinaud Vanilla Aftershave

I've always enjoyed good old Pinaud Clubman aftershave for its traditional barbershop smell. I wanted to try some of their other ones, so I got my wife to give me the Vanilla for Christmas - can't find it in any store so we had to mail order it.

I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't smell like vanilla at all, but it does smell great. I detect a little citrus and maybe a kind of "leather" smell in there - whatever it is, it's good. Smells great and really makes my face feel good. I just wish the fragrance would last longer!

I like to put on a different one every day, I have 4 "flavors" currently and here's my take on them:

1. Aqua Velva - my favorite smell, but lasts about 10 seconds after you put it on.

2. Pinaud Vanilla - this one is almost #1 it's so good.

3. Pinaud Clubman - the old reliable, and it lasts fairly long.

4. Pinaud Bay Rum - a little too much cloves, and it burns like hell when you put it on. The fragrance balances out after about 5 minutes and then smells a lot better, and it lasts for a really long time.

So, how good are the other Pinauds: Geo, Coachman, Musk, etc. ? And what's your favorite A/S besides Pinaud?

I seldom shave, so when I do I am not too picky. I use Brut sometimes. I like the ones that sting.
