This is my Rig. Trying out the Izula on the Kit. Green one is in my pocket. Do I need three knives on me.. plus a Leatherman Surge?.. No. Not Really.. all the time. But you just never know.. right?

Just trying some things out. Easier to access in vehicle with all your gear on. RC3 is under the Armor.. and you CAN'T get anything out of your pockets sitting in a vehicle.

That's a pretty sweet rig. It's not like the Izula adds much weight, or will get in the way.

How do you like the Beretta?

That Rig would look sweeter with a SIG in the holster :) But I guess the government thinks otherwise. Very cool!

+1 to that. But I wonder what the OP thinks about his Beretta. I hear civvies kvetching about the Berettas all the time, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone who has actually carried one on duty complain about it. Except about the caliber, of course.

Personally, I don't like 'em. I think they're way too big and heavy for what they are. I'd much rather carry a Sig, or a Glock, or an HK even. In .45, if possible.

And those Serpas are great holsters.

My opinion of the weapon/holster:

I like the 92 series a lot. I'm not a fan of the "Military sights" such as on the M9. The holster they offer with this is pretty nifty. Once you get used to it, it's just like anything else. I will say that if you aren't running, jumping, rolling, and leaping out of planes and helos, go with a civilian rig like a fobus that uses tension to keep the weapon in. They're inexpensive and the weapon retention is easier.

Great rig - best to you and your compadres - and thanks for your service :thumbup::thumbup:....... my son is in Iraq at the moment and life is interesting

Nice setup!:thumbup:Looks like you are well prepared!

Thanks for your service!

Thanks guys.. I was really happy about the Izula Sheath and the ability to just be able to "Rig" it to just about anything anywhere. This set up is functional.

As far as the M9 Comments. I am a 1911 fan. I shoot IDPA / 3 Gun with 1911s. I EDC a 1911 (at home). If the number does not start with a .4 It should not be a primary. :D (minus a .357... gotta love that round)

The M9 actually functions just fine. Keeping it clean and functioning is easy. Just keep cleaning it. Solid Pistol for what it is though.

The Serpa holster is great (for Me).. not everyone. People have said "that will not last in the desert" due to the finger push release. That may be a valid point...but not my experience. As you can see from the condition of my holster.. I have done my share of rolling around / scraping T Walls / laying down.. and I have never had anything (rocks, twigs, sand, etc) stuck in it so that I COULDN'T Draw the pistol. Everything is opinion. I like it and will take it with me to my next deployment. Solid Holster.

As this IS the RAT Forum... I didnt want to make it side tracked. Sorry guys. My Rats are awesome.. and complete the rig.

As thanking me for my / OUR service... its OUR Pleasure to Serve the Country. I am actually a bit worried .. I will have to someday grow up and get a job. I am having too much fun (20 years this month) ... and I dont plan on stopping anytime soon.

Working on some other interesting RAT / Rig Combos.. maybe post pix if they work out.

.357 SIG. is a sweet sweet round. I like your ".4" philosophy. Thats why my 220 is my favorite
