Okay, so I was bored at work today and I got to thinking about a "belthook" design I came up with sometime last year--basically it was taking a billhook and transforming it into a belt knife. Well, I was thinking about it more and I got to thinking about pitdog's wide-blade style and started playing around to see what kind of mixture I could come up with and I came up with this monstrosity:

The point of it rather reminds me of an eagle's beak, which I also rather like, but I thought that the overall design is conducive to pulling cuts against brush and tree-limbs like a billhook, but it is smaller and more knife-like. Plus I think it just looks badass.

Anyway, just thought I'd share with everyone the kinds of things that my boredom produces :P

Crazy. I like it but cannot think of what I would use it for.

Haha, yeah, I know the feeling--the original was much more practical and utilitarian but this one is on steroids for no apparent reason other than to amuse my boredom :P

It would look cool in steel, no doubt. But I am not sure what I would use it for, aside from in the garden.

Yeah, the garden was really the only place I could think of to use it (although it would trim trees and chop bamboo quite well, I would think) but it's just a steroid-injected idea--as I said, the original design I drew was a lot more practical, and this was just cool :P

Noah, that does look bad ass and I bet if someone made it they would sell more than one.

I have to say I have looked at this one several times. There is nothing to practical that comes to my mind for use. All I could think was a fighting knife! Put some black canvas scales on it. I think most sensible people would retreat if you pulled this and it had a 12 inch blade...lol
