That's not right Sifu. I would suggest calling Mke in Warrantee & Repair and sending them to us. Lock tite may be the only solution. What you are experiencing is not a normal problem.

The pivot pins on my Gunting and my BF Blue Native tend to loosen themselves over time. I used to use loc-tite but then when I would oil the action some of the loc-tite would become soupy and gum up the works. I still have some loc-tite residue on the threads so I think that has helped me out and I check them every once in a while for play. I never had them loosen as fast as you are saying. I found that harder openings sped up the proccess. Try unscrewing the pivot pin (do not take the rest of the pivot assembly out of the knife) and apply a little loc-tite to it. Let it dry so that there is an abrasive film on the thread and then screw it back in. This way you won't get the loc-tite in the rest of the pivot. Good luck.

TOTC -- I keep forgetting to ask you how you got such a large avatar. Is it by some computer legerdemain that just gives the illusion that it is bigger than 50x50?

Oh, by the way, I like it!

I have powers.... EVIL POWERS!

Actually, the software allows you to use a larger avatar if you submit it in .BMP format. The 10k file size limit still applies, but no pixel size limit. To lower the file size try lowering the amount of colors in the images (a saving option in Photoshop).

upon reflection, it is only my millie and my gunting which do this - ya can tighten up, just right, and work the blade 4-5 times and its MUCH MUCH looser - i hate to put that locc tite on, i hate that stuff - might just ship 'em in or call like sal said

also the millie has some up/down play in the blade when locked open - ya can hold the handle and shake it up and down and the blade will jiggle up and down some - no side to side play though......it is the older model millie if it matters...

thanks for info and best to all.....
