Good Evening.
It is I, THE GREAT AND POWERFULLY LAZY VAMPIRE GERBIL!

I have determined that I am determined to get to Atlanta this time to meet the maniacs at Blade this year.
The only problem is that I know nothing about the south, other than the fact that they were involved in a war a while back, and I don't even know when Blade Show's gonna be held.. or WHERE it's gonna be held!
Now I know that most of the 546 billion members here know when and where it is, so if just a few hundred of you would take the time to let me know, I sure would appreciate it.
More importantly, where should I stay?
Kit invited me into his truck, but sometimes my "urges" take over and I tend to do weird things in the middle of the night, and Kit would most likely decapitate me and you guys'd use my head in funny pictures.
I think it'd be better if I got a hotel, but I'd like one that doesn't have room service delivered by roaches in dirty little aprons.

So, can ya help me out here?

There's an 85%+ chance that I'm going, so if some folks wanna use that info to stay home, well, you can thank me by sending me the cash you were gonna spend there.

BLADESHOW, an event which all TRUE knifenuts MUST atttend, is in Atlanta, Ga., the first weekend in June this year. If you will pick up a copy of BLADE mag., they will list all kinds of good info, that I jus t don't seem to have at hand right now. The hot ticket is to stay right there @ the show in the Waverly hotel, or to stay across the street[connected by a bridge] at the Sheraton.

See you there buddy. You are VERY WELCOME to stop by and hang out at the CAMILLUS booth, as long as you don't hump my leg like you didi last time:rolleyes:

Cobb Galleria Centre and Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA.

Me and 5 other guys (Oh stop it) are staying at the Clarion nearby.

Cant wait to see you there!

I located a large dumpster on the north side of the building. I used it last year but I've sold a couple knives since then and actually got a room in the Waverely.
Bastid lives close so you might convince him to swing by there and put a Reserved sign on it. Best I remember, it was Waste Management Systems, Dumpster #450-9-23-1.

Hmm looks like it is going to be a real gathering of the clans. A lot of my sword buddies are going to be there too.

Also, I really do not want to stick all the new knives I buy in my luggage so does the Hotel assist in getting stuff "packaged" for UPS or the USPS?

Ira. I would call as soon as I could. The Waverly had rooms left as of a couple weeks ago but they were going fast.
 
Well, it's 3:45 am and the wife's still up, which means she's cooked up stuff for me to do, but...
Just wanted to pop-off (simmer down, weirdos) and say thanks for the info.
I've got my room held at the Waverly, so it looks likt it's 95%+ now. The cool thing was getting $100 off the price of two nights by saying I was with Blade Show.
Hell, it ain't really lying.. half those guys have Lorena's pic in their wallets, so I'm kinda a mascot or something..

For the good of the country, and the Atlanta area in particular, PLEASE...Nobody tell Vampire Gerbil about the PIT @ the Waverly.

If we stick together, we can all get through this years BLADESHOW alive;)
 
Hey, I'm paid to be all observant and notice things and stuff, so finding a PIT should be no problem.... heeeeyyy... wait a minute!
The last time I was down south and found a PIT, there were a buncha DI's screaming at me to do exercises until I died to death!
Pretty sure I didn't die then, but 19 years have passed and doing that now would kill me... then you'd have to drag my cadaver all over the show and take pics of me with my pals.
Yeah, better not tell me what it is. I wanna be alive when I come home.

Well I wasn't sure if I was going to make it this year, but if VG is going, then I know I'm staying home. :) Just kidding!! :) I hope to make it, had a blast last year meeting all the Bladeforum members and having dinner with the North Carolina Knife Knuts. Each year there are more of us to meet. Making plans...
