Please need blade makers help.

I need some info from one or two of the talented blade makers within this forum. I received my Bolo kris from 'Kris Cutlery' today. The bubble packing had left marks on the polished blade. I oiled and wiped in attempt to remove the blemishes, the blade was cold due to outdoor temps. The blade now appears as a damascus blade...discolored in places,(swirls, waves and spots.) Can this blade be restored to the original high polish finish? Simple wiping with soft cloth does nothing.

As always...any help will be appreciated.

If the marks are only superficial, Simichrome, Flitz, Metal Glow, or a similar polishing paste should return the blade to it's original shine. If you can't find any of these products locally, there is a suppliers list on the first or second page of the shop forum. The knife supply houses listed therein carry the polishing products in question.
