I have seen some Spydercos with modified decorated handles from SFSW.Has anybody had any experience with the knives? Are the decorated handles durable?Does the modifications effect the Spydie warranty?
It would be helpful for any feedback before deciding to make a purchase.
Thanks,
David

I have a little Case knife that they did with their herringbone rainbow wood design. It's very nice, and I don't see any durability challenges for it. I've heard lots of good things about them.

Forget the knives, who's the model?!

I've seen the Santa Fe decorated Spydercos and I think they are very well done. I'm planning to sell some of them on our site.

One thing you should understand, though, is that whenever the knife comes with a pocket clip, only the mark side of the knife is decorated. The side with the clip is stock. I don't think durability is a big problem with them Take care.

Leo - We've never had a problem with durability of any of SSSW products. They've been making them for some time now so they have much experience. Their work is excellent on our prodcuts. My wife, Gail carries a SSSW Police model regularly.

In my experience, I believe that Santa Fe Stone Works is one of those companies that extends their best effort and takes pride in their work.

BTW, they have made some dino-bone handles for me on occassion. They are very exotic. 50 million year old extinct handle material.
