Poliwog is amazing

I just picked up a Poliwog. I wasn't interested when I saw pictures of it because I thought it just looked too camel-hump-ugly. But when I saw it in real life I noticed it was smaller than I expected, somehow looked better, and was such an amazing perfect fit in my hand that I had to have it.

I like how it is 100% designed for a forward grip with your finger in the front choil. Most models with the blade/handle joint choil feel like this is meant as a secondary position. You can't really do a rear-ward grip on this knife like you can on the Native, but you wouldn't want to. It's just too perfect when held as intended. It's amazing how full of a grip you get with a fairly small knife.

I see it has the Eric Glesser mark on it as does the Scorpius, which I am also crazy about for its uncommon look and hand-friendly shape.

Hmmm! so it doesn't work in reverse grip?

Actually, it works in reverse grip pretty good too. Just point your thumb upward, like a sword grip I think it's called, but reversed.

By "rear-ward" I meant how with other models which have a choil shared by the handle and blade, you can hold it without using the forewardmost choil. This knife has, including the "shared" choil, exactly four choils for four fingers. It works in regular or reverse grip, and you use all choils either way.
