So, what Spydie do you actually use the most?

In the thread, "Hail to the king!", I gave my top three favorite Clipits as: 1. Military, 2. Chinook, and 3. Wegner. Those are my favorite Spyderco knives, but I realized that those are not the knives I actually use the most on a daily basis.

The Spydie that I use the most, by far, is the Calypso Jr.Lw.. It's just an amazingly useful design; the blade geometry is perfect for those little daily chores. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive and small enough to avoid dirty looks in public.

Second would be the Wegner. It's not pretty, but it's designed with actual use in mind. The more I carry it, the more I come to appreciate how handy it can be.

The Spydie that I always have with me and therefore gets the most use is my Navigator.
Living in the UK, those "dirty looks" you mention are a little more common place, so blade length is a real restricting factor, and so far the Navigator is the best performing small knife I've found. I think it's just the ergonomics of the piece that make it feel like a much larger knife when it's in use.

1. Wegner by far
2. Probably a tie between Navigator, Rookie & an old Delica that gets USED (brief bouts of intense use & abuse compared to casual daily use) for fishing/camping.

I guess that would be between the Calypso Jr. Ltwt and the Cricket I alternate carring the most.

Used the MOST? My Sharpmaker 204.

The knife I use the most is my Wegner, closely followed by the Weg. Jr.

It's not the pace of life that concerns me, It's the sudden stop at the end.

Carried most for work is a Rescue and a plain edge Merlin.
Used the most is my Endura that I carry when I am not working.

Currently it's my Wegner Jr., since it's doing kitchen duty -- I'm living in temporary quarters (corporate housing, if I want to sound important

) at the moment, and the kitchen knives they provided won't even cut a sandwich in half.

FWIW, I tested the Wegner Jr. side by side with my lightweight Calypso Jr., small Centofante, Benchmade 705, and DDR small Apogee, in picking a knife for this duty. The Wegner Jr. came in second,

but the Apogee is my EDC, and thus not destined to be relegated to the kitchen for the duration.

A Native, cpm 440v steel with a Frn handle
made in Golden Colorado, USA Earth. not my favorite, but the one I carry the most. My favorite this year is the Bob Lum Chinese Folder.

It used to be the JD Smith but I now carry the updated Viele.

Most frequent uses: Open envelopes, open mailing cartons, cut lunch items (food), cut loose thread/strings/etc., cutout magazine/newspaper articles, stress reliever (open & close the knife repeatedly--in private), paper weight, book mark, remove unsightly hair

, clean fingernails, and other tasks that come up in a typical day.
