I'm sure everyone has read the powdered metal processes in the latest Blade mag. My queston is this: Does anyone have a supplier for powdered metals? Has anyone tried this with brass/copper etc? Thanks in advance for your input.

The only powdered metals I've tried have been Damasteel. I love the stuff but it costs a fortune. If your interested I can dig out the link. They also have a US rep. Nice enough fellow but slow as He!!.

You can get powdered 10 series steel from Jeff Carlilse at this # 1-406-452-1246. He also sells bar stock and some supplies.

its C.P.M. the people that make 154-cm, s30v,s50v, etc these are a powdered metal and i have my last invoice in front of me but no #, its in the shop, call 800 directory or can someone chime in with there website. they may have some carbon tool steels.

I purchased various carbon powders from Jeff Carlisle. They range from 1018 to 1095. The different carbon contents give your patterns different values of grey. Its also important to form your design with nickel 200 if you really want it to stand out. You can also use 15N20 (which Jeff also sells) if you are going to be using the mosaics in a blade. The process is really simple if you have a press.
