Price of clip insert

This has probably been asked before but why is clip insert twice as expensive as new clip?

Does this have to do with small series? I can't actually belive that even in small series the production price is this high.

I think that if produced in lagre numbers clip insert could accompany every sebenza as the allen screwdriver without need to rise price 20$. I bet that all sebenza buyers would be ready to pay 5$ more to be able to alter styles.
