Ball handle belt knife, Blade is 6 1/4 inch flat ground, edge hardend saw steel. Blade has been brown blued. Handle is curly maple with 76 brass pins(38 each side). Knife is 11 1/8 inches over all. Sheath is tooled one piece wet molded leather.

Received my Primative today. More than exceeded my expectations. I also liked the certificate with serial No. and knife description.
Any one looking for a Mt. Man, Civil War, Cowboy reenactor's knife etc. I haven't seen any better.
My wife loved her little Xmas knife also.

Buy one if you need a knife fix, you will not be dissapointed. It takes you back in history.

Robert, bet you could sell a ton of these -- looks like one of the best deals I've seen in a long time, wonderful loking rig:D Would drive the local cowboys wild !
So what's the answer -- are there more of these (or similar) in the future?

Mr. Appleby makes some very nice knives folks. I am now the proud owner of two miniature Bowies with bear teeth for handles. The second is on the way as I write this.

Bob is very easy to deal with and one of the best things I like about his work is he sends the particulars on the knife you buy as documentation for future reference. Something other makersw would be wise to follow.

How many here have bought a knife knowing the composition, only to forget thee particulars when it came to remember years later.

Hi Bob,

I am inclined to start collecting the mini Bowies as a sub category after getting the first one from you. My wife was very impressed with the first one you sent. She doesn't usually comment on my knife purchases but thought that first little bowie was outstanding.

I agree with her assessment here.

Keep up the good work and also keep me up to speed as the minis are available.
