I have been looking a the pro cut for a back up,they looks ok for the money
and you can put a small wheel on it to do
tight radius,if any one has used it
I would like some feed back good or bad

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

I have not seen much about the grindr they sale them in koval,I am going to build one to
my specks,I want some different stuff that
factory make grinders do not have.
Rob Frinks grinder is probably the best out
there for the money put a V/S motor on it
and you have a knife grinding machine
I have a catalog from surplus center they have 1 1/4 sealed fan cooled motor for variable speed for 136 and the controler with
heat sink for 126 so for about 250 you can
have a great machine if you hooked it to Robs grinder,it would be a grinding monster
that you could control

I have a Procut II from Koval's and I have used it for about 10 years now with no problems at all. I have never made friends with the flat platen but I have done tons of blades freehand hollow ground and convex also.

I use the small wheel attachment for fingergrooves and guard shaping and while it is a little tricky to adjust at first, it works fine.

I am sure there are better grinders out there but I am sure that I will get another 10 years or more out of mine.

Zodiak,

Sorry to hear about the Grizzly! I've got one also. If you have any non-factory attachments for sale, e-mail me with the info. I might be interested.
