Went to Cabela's a couple of days ago and purchsed a Pro-Line 110. The people behind the counter didn't know anything about the knives they sold, so they couldn't answer my questions. What is the difference between the Pro-Line and the regular 110?

Free life time sharpening by Buck (except your postage to send it in). :)

Boose forgot to mention the etching on the blade...it is removable, but then you don't get the free lifetime sharpening... ;)

Wait'll you go to a Gander Mountain...they have a large dedicated "Cutlery" department, but they -

(1) Don't know jack...
(2) Don't care...
(3) Get annoyed if you actually want to buy something...
(4) Are downright snotty about questions...

Of course, that's only my first impression, from the store in Tonawanda NY, and may not be typical...Other Gander Mountains may be worse... :grumpy:

I was asking about Buck knives; the guy was actually putting out some Sambar Stag handled fixed polished blades Buck knives...he directed me to a tree about 20 feet away with Buck clampacks on it...110's, 119's, etc...I actually think he didn't know that they were Buck knives he was putting out...
