Problem with Chive - common ?

I recently received my 1st Kershaw knife, a Chive, but noticed it has a problem :/

The blade is not at all centered when closed and the blade rubs (is in constant contact) with the liner.

Is this a widespread problem, or have I just received a dodgy one that has slipped through QC ?

Cheers

Howdy There...!
I have had a scallion for about a year and have not had one problem. I would say that you aren't happy with it send it back to Kershaw. The company has always given excellent service, also check with the company or store where you bought it to see if they would replace for you. Good Luck..!

Later "Possum"

I had a similar problem, but I just tightened the two torx screws in the handle (that go through the spacer)and it was right as rain. They had loosened up somehow, but they haven't since.

agreeing with the post above...you probably need to tighten the pivot screw a bit. That is the MOST common reason a blade is off center.

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately, the problem didnt change when I tried tightening the screws. A 'tiny' turn of the pivot screw resulted in the knife hardly being able to open at all.

Looks like I'll have to send it back to the shop I bought it from :/
