I just recently purchased a strop from a fellow forum member that custom makes them. I can't say enough about the guy. If anyone is in need of a top quality strop made with beautiful Hardwoods, Wickett and Craig leather, and loaded with your choice of compounds or sprays, shoot Dan a line. I'll agree. I got some leather from Dan a few months ago. He seems to be a pretty good guy. I haven't used one of his strops, bit I do have some of his leather and its nice. His name on here is Capid1

Thank you for the warm welcome and kind words. With Chris's permission I'll tell you a little bit about myself...

I'm first and foremost a family man with an amazing wife and two fantastic kids. I've also been married to the Air Force for the past 16yrs as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

As for the strop making goes I'm a tinkerer by heart. I like working with wood as of lately and it's been fun. The exotics are my favorite by far. The leathers I currently work with are tooling and Latigo from Wickett and Craig. All my strops are made to your specs as long as I have the supplies available. I also include a free charging of compound from the stock I have (Diamond/CBN/Boron Carbide/Chromium Oxide). Please let me know if you have any particular ideas and I'll be happy to work with you fine folks.

I'm still working on a good portfolio of strops I've done/currently making. I do have a few picture on my FB page and I'll have more by the middle of the week. Any particular style handle or strop in general you are looking for? Let me know if I can be of service to you.
