Progress pics of first knife

I've recently posted some pictures showing my progress on my first knife. You can see them by going to www.derekmelton.com/knife.html

I'm almost ready to heat treat it, once my forge is finished I'll post pics of it and my experience heat treating 1084. I'm still working out some scratches while I wait for my small forge to be welded together.

I have a coldfusion counter running and a java applet that forces you to go to knife.cfm instead of knife.html...should work now!

Derek, good job man, your grit and determination shows. Looks like you may already be hooked though

Oh yea, you may want to visit Revell hdw. It's located near where Cooper rd. crosses Terry rd. they have a good selection of brass tubing, pin, shim, and bar stock, an extensive selection of sandpaper to. It is on the left going towards Byram. Just thought this may help out.
