Ive seen the specs for both these knives, and im trying to make up my mind on which to get.

Clip Point or the Spear Point.

Do they both have the serrations or just the clip point.
Compass in the butt cap, is there one in there or do i have to get one installed myself.

How does the knives hold their edge in the field.

Any information on both these knives will be verry much appreciated.
BTW who sells these knives

Clip or spear? Get both. IMO spear is better for tougher jobs but sacrafices some cutting and slicing ability/convenience. Clip seems to be better suited for the majority of traditional knife chores with some sacrafice of tip strength and digging/prying spiking ability; again, IMO.

They both have serrations and both can be order without serrations.

A-2 is tough stuff and CRK knives knows what they are doing with it.

Depending on your intended use, you would be well served with either.

No compass, you have to get your own. I prefer to have my compass(es) anywhere but on the knife. Around my neck, pinned to my outerwhere, (on my non-shooting side) or in a pocket seems to be convenient enough with compromising the ability to impact the back of the knife handle if I needed to. Being able to pount with the handle, or pound on it is far more finctional afield than having to look elsewhere (more convenient, I think) for your heading or bearing.

Xman..
I like all CRK fixed blades and if I had to choose I prefer the Spearpoints..
The Jereboam II Clip Point is awesome though..
You will not go wrong with any CRK fixed blade guaranteed..
As far as edge retention, please read Cliff Stamps review on the P1.
Kinda says it all on the performance of the P1..

Take Care..
