I would just like to Apologize to everyone her for my last topics replies.I feel that this should never had happened and I am really sorry that it did.I am also sorry that I got mad and showed a side of myself that hasn't came out in a long time.It is fine if someone starts messing with me as I can handle myself but they don't need to start slamming anybody that I consider to be a friend. That is when I started getting upset,I was in hopes that the moderatores would have locked the thread but when they didn't I finally decided to try and end it.
So again I am sorry for my Bad temper and That I shouldn't have showed that side of myelf,Please accept my APOLOGIES for this happening.
Thanks,
Bruce

1) You're human.
2) You have nothing to apologise for.
3) You're A-OK in my book.

FIDMN,
Wally

Bruce, I normally try to stay out of these things, but in this one I can't. You are a big man for making an apology. But, you have nothing to apologize for. Ignore the trolls and keep posting all your knives everywhere and anywhere you want. I love em.

Remeber the thread of why more makers don't post?

No apology necessary...and thank-you for sharing your knowledge and your knives.

Bruce-

I agree, no apology necessary.

I can understand how this escalated, and you're right, it didn't need to happen....but that's life.

I can empathize with justknives in that you feel as though you're simply stating an idea or opinion and "the group" suddenly seems to want to banish you. You can either keep getting mad; turn your head and walk away; or try to make amends and see if you can't improve the situation...so that everyone can be friends yet still be true to themselves.

That's a tough position to be in. Human nature tells us fight or flight. The latter of the choices here is somewhere in-between punching versus running, and it's hard to swallow your pride and do it.

I hope that justknives can see past this just as I'm sure everyone else will and be a contributor here...a positive one.

We all stuck up for you because you're a good guy and you make excellent knives. Justknives questioned why your contributing would have any bearing on the situation...that's a simple question to answer. You give and give and give, and so it's fair for you to get to show off a little too. Now were you a recluse that only came in to post new knives for sale, that would be shameless sales....using this forum for nothing but a market while never lending a hand. YOU HAVE NEVER DONE THAT HERE.

I like the pictures, love the knives, and personally don't care to see them shrunk down as thumbnails.

If ANYONE doesn't want to read a post by ANY OTHER PERSON, it's simple enough to NOT FREAKING CLICK ON IT!!!

Again Bruce, thanks for taking the high-road and practicing professionalism. Don't change anything, and don't apologize. I hope justknives can come around as well.

Thanks,
Nick

I agree that Bruce has no reason to apologize. I'll offered my own apology to Bruce. The thumbnail suggestion is not an implied criticism. Just a reflection of my own frustration with a slow computer/ISP.

Man Bruce, after seeing this I went looking for its source. There sure are some sour folks in the world, and it always seems they want to share the most.

I love seeing your pictures, and love it even more when I come across them in other forums -- makes me feel like I'm part of a larger world. You've done more to help others than anyone I've ever known except perhaps for my wife, who's also a hero.

Making this post is just representative of a very big man, a great human being. You're really something. Thanks for everything.

Dave

I went back and read the entire post. The guy is a troll, don't sweat it, Bruce.

Sing, recommending thumbnails is not out of line. I am guilty of full size pics, too, but I try to optimize them.

If you criticize without being constructive, you are a troll.

Don't even give this guy another moment of your energy Bruce, because that's what he's looking for. Your knives are great and all your pics are welcome. I always look forward to them and always check them out even if I don't post any comments. I was shocked this morning when I saw all the ruckus from last night. That's the first nasty post I've seen on this forum.

BTW, I've seen a lot of you knives on here but never any folders......got any pics of past work or do you not make them? I'd be interested in buying one in the future!

Bruce,

It just goes to show that no matter what you do, you can't please everyone. Some would critizize Mother Teresa's work!
I check out this forum because of the immense amount of cameraderie (sp?) and sharing that goes on in here.
I see all the pictures of knife working and I realize that all the works that goes on is from the heart especially your work. I just wish that I could produce something that I could share also.

Please keep on doing your thing! It's good stuff.

Apology not necessary, but I understand.

Thanks,
Ed

Bruce, you're one of the good guys. We all know that from all of your posts in the past. Your desire to share your energies and passions for knives with us speaks the loudest about your intentions in all your posts. I myself have learned a great deal from your online tutorials and especially from seeing all the pics of your knives.

It's people like you that cause the perception that knife makers/bladesmiths are a very honest and friendly bunch. I really appreciate your posts and if anything hope you post even more pics for us to learn from. When I get as good as you and have my stuff all in one sack, I hope to share my knowledge here too.

Without folks like you, this forum would begin to lose its purpose. Thanks Bruce, for sharing your time, energy and knowledge with us.

Bruce, You are a big man for an apology when none is due. You are one of my friends on this forum and because of my friends here I have taken a part of it. Its the only forum I frequent. Keep up your good work. Im looking forward to the next picture. Bruce B

Bruce looks like everyone else has already said it....Ditto

Bruce, I always look forward to pictures of your knives. I personally would rather see full sized pictures rather than thumbnails. If anyone does not like full sized pictures, they don't have to click on your posts.
I also want to thank you for your tutorials. You go to a lot of trouble to help others.
I hope you will keep doing what you have been doing. Tom Lewis

Thanks Everybody.
I just didn't feel good about blowing my cork on the other post so I felt that I needed to apologize.I shouldn't have let him get to me...
Again Thanks,
Bruce

hey bruce dont sweat the small stuff it just aint worth it with a forum with over ten thousand members there will always be someone to stir the poop pot. its kinda inevitable. and if i hadnt said so beautiful knife.

When Bruce or another maker posts pictures of their latest work I love it. I know they're not posting it for self promotion or bragging rights. It's like a cyber version of show-n-tell. We all enjoy getting compliments and an occasional pat on the back. It's also a way to find out if we're doing it right. I'd rather post a knife picture here and have you folks let me know it stinks than keep making the same mistakes.
Knife making, for me anyway, is usually a lonely and tedious craft and I love sharing the final results with my friends here at the forums.
Maybe you should try your hand at knife making JK. Sounds like a little solitude and thought would do you some good.

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

I know what yuo are talking about,I myself

should have.
We are human and well all make mistakes
you are a fine knife maker and I enjoy your posts and your web page and your help
your fine in my book.

I just got on and found the apology. So I went to the other post to see what it was all about. Bruce you have nothing to apologize for. I enjoy seeing yours and other makers work ./ It gives me some insight into what you are all doing and gives me ideas on how to improve my own work. I really enjoy your tutorials. Keep up the good work.

Marcel
