My wife likes purple. I saw in the 2009 Spyderco catalog that they will offer a purple Ladybug 3. Alas, not until sometime in 2009.
Would it be possible to "rehandle" any of Spyderco's knives in a purple material. The catalog says the Ladybug handle is made of FRN which the glossary says is fiberglass reinforced nylon. Also mentions this is injected into a mold.....
My wife is not a knife knut and works for the state so would need an extremely sheeple friendly blade if I get her one. Blades that might fit that definition are the Ladybug 3, Lava, Polywog, Leafstorm, the Urban something and another one I can't find right now.
Personally I think the Lava would be ideal, if it could be rehandled in something purple. Do they make purple G-10? Do you ever do this kind of work?
