Heres a push dagger I just finished up, I felt like it was just fitting to show the picture sense Nick Wheeler posted his dagger picture. This is the first push dagger I have done and with help from Nick through e-mails he sure helped me greatly. Thanks Nick, thanks to you I still have a little hair left that I didn't pull out.:D

Blade and palm swell are all forged 1 piece from 3/4" - 52100 round stock. Oal-7" w/4 1/4" cutting edges. Handle material is sheep horn scales that I got off of a horn that Bruce E. sent me a while back, and the pins are brass.

Thanks Guys

Bill

Bill That is a gorgeous pusher. Great forge to shape work. Pretty file work and handle. Love the finish. Bruce B

HAHAHAHA, all I did was try to confuse him...but darnit, it didn't work, he pulled it off anyway...look at that beauty!!! ;)

No really, I probably did just confuse ya' Bill, but you're welcome anyway :D

This is a great testament to Bill's forging skills. Typical daggers alone are hard enough to forge, but upsetting a bar of 3/4" round 52100 and forging all of that "T" shaped blade out of it...that's AWESOME!!!

Great job Bill, a fantastic knife. I love your sharp grind line...it really tops off a great design.

Nick

Nice piece of work .

All push daggers remind me of the time I was In Kalgoorlie a out back
town in Western Australia.

Some piece of (fill in the space) got a skin full at the local pub.
The police were called to a stabbing. As they walked in the door there was a guy on the floor unconcious. The police asked where had he been stabbed. They were told thats not him thats the bastard that did it. The victim was sitting at a table with his mates waiting for the ambulance.

The evil one was foolish enough to stab the publican bar owner.
Now that just does not sit right with the drinking masses.
Further 30 guys saw the publican get stabbed no one saw the other fella get hit on his way to the floor.

My personal view push dagger should only be for collectors. Any one
takes one to a pub should end up on the floor.

hey reg:

Its the push dagger fault wright not the ass who was carring
it. Get real it could have been a bowie its guys like you who want to take away guns but to your way of thinking its the guns fault right
please go back to the land down under and do us all a favor.........

Just way to COOL !!!!!!
Bill that is awesome. Was the horn sheep or goat?

Guys lets not take Bills cool knife thread away with any name and mud slinging here.
Reg was just stating a incident and his belief on Push daggers,Not saying it was the daggers fault just that they have there place..Pinar,Bfore jumping on somebody here you need to make sure you know who and why you are jumping..I don't feel that your comments were really needed on this posting as it is Bills post showing off his great work and name calling is not what we are about on this forum..Please clm down and lets all have fun:cool: ;)

Sorry Bruce and Dave, didn't see your post or we posted at the same time.

sorry guys you are 100 percent wright this is not the place
it should have been done privetly forgive me

Thanks guys for all the great compliments, Nick, I walk around confused :D , your help is always greatly appreciated. As is Bruces, made the clip for the sheath the way Bruce stated in his tutorial using a thin sawzall blade, turned out great, thanks Bruce, and it was sheep horn, I sliced the scales off, heated in cooking oil and flattened.

Bill

Guys,
Thanks for the way you all stay cool and calm. We all have a bad day every so often. Sometimes a post is made that really shouldn't have been. You guys use friendship and tact to let the poster know, and it gets fixed and all is good in the world.
Let's keep it that way.
BTW, nice piece, Bill.

Bill,Glad to hear that youwas able to make the Boot clip using my tutorial.I never thought about the sawzall Blade for it.Learn something new everyday...
Bruce

Sorry if I offended any one with my story. I thought I was making it clear that the demon in this piece was the fool who could not hold his liqour.

I left out the part that this guy had actually got a taxi home collected the dagger and came back to do the job.

I do like guns I do like knives. The knife on the thread was a particularly nice one. I have made daggers myself.

Normally when I tell the story about how no one saw the nut not the knife get k.o they laugh because the publicans here are held in high regard. Everone wants to marry a publicans daughter.

I appoligize to the author of the thread. My attemt at houmour was sowered by my thoughts about the type of person who goes out of his way to stab someone. But anyone one will tell you it is the way the story is told. Again it is an awsome knife and I would be proud to have it in my collection.

I appoligize to you to Pinjar I have obvioulsy cause you to think I am
anti knives it was only aimed at the type of guy that would hunt someone down. The story told over 15 minutes has a better ring to it.
