Can anyone shed some light on one of my recent/favorite aquisitions? It's a Queen 12EO (links to photos below). I want to know when it was made, how much it went for ($) at the time, blade or handle materials used.
It's a little over 4" closed. The handles look like horn or plastic. According to the books I have, the tang stamp was used from 1932 until 1955. I don't think it's the right date though. I spoke to a nice guy named Don Brocket at Queen Cutlery this morning and he told me that the last time Queen made the 12EO with a black handle was the early 80s. I think he's right - It looks more like twenty something years old than sixty something years old!
Any info on this knife is very welcome!
