Question about blade play?

My Para has a solid lock - horizontally and vertically. Under normal use, can a blade develop play over time or is that unusual if the lock was solid to begin with? Just wondering what to expect in the future. Thanks.

Well I'm certain that any knife will eventually become a little loose and even eventually wear out...the question is how long that will take. From what I have read and personally experienced folding blades will experience some vertical play over time...it is the horizontal play that would be of greatest concern. You may have to tighten your pivot pin over time...other than that it should be great for many years.
