I need to clean my stones again. I want to do a SUPER clean this time. Make them look brand new again. My problem is I don't know how. Any ideas?? I have used "Brillo" pads, magnets, and the old green "Scotchbrite" pad with "Comet" in the past. Is that the only things everyone uses?? Or is there anything else I could try. Maybe I should just buy the 204. Thanks for any and all help.

I used to use an "eraser" to clean the stones. Granted, they make the ceramic look white again, but along the way, it also adds a build-up of silicone or some stuff that coats the ceramic, making it cut less.

I consulted with Sal on this one, and he told me to use a Scotchbrite with Comet or Ajax (I used Ajax for this) and turns out that the ceramic stone was able to cut again.

So what I do now, is to clean the stones with the eraser (to make it white, whiter than if you scrub it right away with cleanser). Then once it's white, that's the time I use the Scotchbrite and cleanser, this time to remove the coating left by the eraser.

No problem, Blades.

The eraser will remove those thin grey lines that are still present even after you scrubbed the stones clean using cleanser. Just make sure you use cleanser and scotchbrite again afterwards, this time to remove the silicone coating build-up that was left by the eraser.
