Question about throwing hawks

I'm looking to buy a throwing hawk for my brother for Christmas. I have never owned one so I don't know which would be best for throwing. I have done some research, but I'm still undecided.

All things considered, I think a hammer poll hawk would be the way to go since they can be used for so many different things, but can you throw them as easily as a regular hawk? Or how about a hawk with a spike head or double blades?

I'm also looking for a good manufacturer (but not VERY pricey) that sells over the internet. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

Try www.hbforge.com and www.ragweedforge.com for cheaper hawks. They all seem to be good quality, and you could buy him a matching set (or a few different types) for the cost of one ATC. Don't get me wrong, atc is great, but if these are going to be ofr fun, and your bro is a novice, don't overspend.
