Sorry, guys, not a question about the knife. . .

Jeff, from reading through some back issues of SWAT, I see you've been hopping about the jungles with the Junglas unit a few times.

Do you know how they are trained?
I heard scuttlebutt that they trained in our Army's Ranger school and jungle/recondo school.

Is that old info? Do they use their own training facilities, or for that matter, did they ever train with the US Army?

I keep hearing the Colombians have the finest air assault/light infantry units in S. America, and am interested to learn more.

I can say that they have worked with the us army, Ranger and S.F. Units both. Have had relatives and friends who spent time down south. As to training in U.S. Facilities i am not sure. Alot of foreign folks do head through our bases for specialized things.

I know some of the Blackhawk pilots were trained Stateside. Some of the officers have received training in the States also. Other than that, their training is conducted in Colombia. But just about every agency in USG as well as SF helps train them on specific skills. They are well equipped and trained ;)
