John, do you ever get nervous when people post heavy use of ya knives, be it battoning through some knotty wood or prying a stump apart etc ?

If he does, he shouldn't.

I have distorted the edge of a well known production knife and flattened the spine of a custom knife, but no matter how hard I beat on any of John's knives, there is no damage. A little cleanup with Brasso and they look like new.

I am still waiting for my first JK knife from John, a Riverwoods Companion with desert ironwood scales which will hopefully be ready in September. I don't plan on using it for anything my axes, mauls or sledgehammers are used for but I guess it's nice to know it could handle it.

I don't think he wants to see what I do with the #2 Kephart he made for me a while back.
This thing is a beater/user.

Not at all! My knives may not be the prettiest, but I have full confidence that they will stand up to hard use. I`ll track down the photo of bearthedog`s 3/32" straightback Kephart, showing it bent while pounding it though a stump. It sprang right back straight.

Oh I would love to see that shot. Especially a Kep.
