Question for Sal...re;blade grinding

Hi Sal.......do yall have some kind of computer operated machine that grinds your blades...i wondered how you can get thr lines so exact...I cant imagine someone does it all by hand and eyeballing....thx/paul

Sal said more then once that the Civilian is hand ground and that is not an easy blade to do.
Besides, I have seen Frans van den Heuvel of Hill knives do some free hand grinding and they don't come any better then that, so it sure is possible.

Hi Paul.

Most of the blades are ground by CNC grinders. Hi tech stuff. They are polished, finished and sharpened by hand.

Sal, you should consider making a 15 minute or so video of the Spyderco operation and knife making process and, posting it on your website. Take us for a brief tour through the factory, pointing out a thing or two - maybe introduce a couple people, etc. It would be great.
