Sal,

You say that the F ceramic and the UF for the Sm are the same but the UF is finished by grinding.

So is the abrasion given by UF rod detirmind by the coursenes of the grinder used to finish the UF rod? And if I dres the UF rod with vry fine wet & dry paper I get smoother abrasion?

Thanks in advanse and
Regards
Frank

Well, my only remark to this: You need a diamond stone or CBN to dress a ceramic stone. You are more likely to dress the wet dry paper with the ceramic stone than vice versa.

I dres my ceramic stones with a DMT diamond stone. I also polish them with silicon carbide wet and dry paper. The papers were out fast but they polish up OK. Interisting thing is that since I dres my ceramics and lubricate with teflon oil they dont load up.

What I want to know is if ceramics abrade the same as butcher steel. I mean by the coursenes of the finish.
