Just received a large Spyderco Wegner. This knife feels very solid. So solid in fact that I was using it to sharpen the end of a 2X4 piece of lumber. After shaving it for awhile I discovered that hacking it with the knife was much quicker. Afterwards I discovered that my liner had travel almost to the far side of the knife. After closing the knife (no problem releasing the lock) and opening it again the liner was centered on the blade again. Is this unusual punishment for a knife? Is it typical for a liner to travel this far under hard use without damage? It was great fun hacking that 2X4, but I don't want to wear out my Wegner!
