Question on Native

I have never handled a Native, but I was wondering if you can hold it with a full four finger grip (WITHOUT using the 50/50 choil). Obviously, it depends on hand size. In my case, I can get a full four finger grip on the Delica 3 and 4, though it is a bit pinched. From the photos of the Native I see online, it looks like the finger cutout in the handle takes up a lot of the handle. Thanks.

Not counting the choil there are only two groves on the handle. The top one is a bit of a squeeze for two fingers, and the bottom is a squeeze for 3. So, it can be done with two fingers in the top or 3 in the bottom, but its not all that comfortable. What is wrong with using the choil though? I am talking about SS Native III BTW.

Nothing wrong with the choil, but I just psychologically have a problem with having my finger so close to the blade.
