Let me start by saying that I am very pleased with my Pikuni.
I Reprofiled the edge to 30 degrees using my Spyderco Sharpmaker 204. At this thin angle the edge seemed to roll when I cut Cardboard and other similar materials.
I then did about 10-15 strokes per side at 40 degrees on the 204 and eliminated this tendency while maintaining a hair popping edge.
Is this expected behavior?
Did I do something wrong on the original sharpening to 30 degrees that left a wire edge?
This is my first D2 blade and it behaves differently than my ATS-34 blades so I am curious.
