Quick question for those that have removed the torsion bar from their 0350...

How hard is it to do a blade drop (i.e. a momentum open) in reverse grip?

I had removed the torsion bar once before, but don't really recall how strong the detent was, and I'd prefer not to take it apart again to find out.

The detent is there, but not overly strong. Could be stronger in my opinion. Either way, I MUCH prefer the 0350 as a manual flipper.

i don't know if you have a 0550 to compare it to, but i would say they are about the same. the 0550 is a little easier because the blade is heavier and the momentum helps, but the detent strength is nearly identical.

I don't, but on a scale of 1-10 (1 being gravity knife and 10 being it's never going to open) how hard is it to do the blade drop in reverse grip?

I would give it a 6.5. Not easy, but it can be done. It's really more about the motion you use than the amount of force.*

*that's what she said.

:D

Thanks for the reply:thumbup:

Have a feeling I'm just gonna end up pulling the torsion bar in order to really get a feel for it.
