radius at tang/blade junction?

Hello

Is is best to have a small radius at the juction of the tang and the blade to reduce stress from a sharp corner? I guess it may depend on the size and thickness of the blade. I am working on a kitchen knife with a 6 inch blade, made from 1/16 inch thick 1074.

The consensus is that this is an important detail and adds durability to an area that is susceptible to cracking under extreme stress. Its a little thing, but the details add up. Also, this is important in heat treating to avoid stress cracks at the same area.
