This is a special run of K-TUSKs for a very special dealer. ;)

Should have them finished on Monday - with sheaths, etc.

I also have a gaggle of WSKs almost ready for heat-treat.

As you can see...I have a few with no sawback...and I'm bringing back the "plain jane" version as well.

These 3V nessmuks should ROCK!!!

Wish I could make 'em all out of it...but since the steel alone is an $50 add-on....kinda cost prohibitive for the average customer. One of these, by the way, is still available for pre-order. ;)

Behind it is a Monster Nessie in 3V....makes me weak in the knees. :D :p

And to the right of that is a special cable damascus fighter awaiting heat-treat. Has a killer pattern on it. The owner is gonna have his socks knocked off.

Thanks for looking!

3V is an awesome steel indeed....tempting MY pocketbook too. :D

...I'm about || this close to buying a big sheet of it to play around with...

It is yet to come....;)

But of the ones I've made so far...hard to pick just one...how about a Top Five?

(in no particular order)

Monster Nessie
Nessmuk
K-TUSK
K-BOAR
WSK

But yes...to answer your question....the "one coming" will easily be my favorite...by far. ;)

And I DID, by the way, order not just one, but 3 sheets of 3V to play around with!

Does the same heat treat work for all the different carbon steels ?

ie. Do you need to heat treat 3V any differently that you heat treat say 01 or A2 ?

different heat-treats for the different steels. Especially 3V vs O1.

The "air-cooled" stuff I send to Paul Bos for heat-treat. (including 3V, A2, D2, S30V - all stainless and all CPM steels)
