Hello All!
I am new to the forum but have been reading the last month or so. I am interested in getting a hawk for camping and recreational throwing. I have been looking at the ATC Spike and Minuteman as options. For my purpose is one better than the other? I like the Idea of a poll hawk, but the Spike looks much more rugged to me and that I like. Due to the lack of the Spike/Poll option, I am looking for advice. Any advice from an owner of each would be appreciated. Thanks

I agree with Dunner 100%. I have the Rainier Scout; it was the first ATC product I bought. Dollar for dollar, it is the nicest hawk you can get, in a non-military style. It makes a great utility hawk. It's traditional styling also does not alert the sheep to the same degree as the VTAC might.
I think the Rainier is a fine choice.

But, you just NEED the accents.....
it looks so cool.
Well, okay, maybe one of each. :)
