After selling two RAT's to consolidate down to one, my one and only RAT(RC3) was stolen out of my car last night.:( I am pissed!!! Its going to be a while before I can replace it. This was the first time I have ever left a knife in a vehicle, and it will be my last. Fricken scum bags.

That is the worst. It's one thing to lose it while using it, it's another to know some dirt bag is now enjoying your knife. He's probaly showing it off to his friends as we type. Death to dirt bag thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn.. why did you leave that precious knife in there?! WHY!!! Where did you put the knife? I hate it when people steal!!! Chances are, they probably cut themselves already......idiots. Keep your eyes open, you'll never know when it might pop up, especially in pawn shops, but NY is a big city... :(

Sorry for your loss:(

May the theif seriously harm himself with that stolen knife:mad:

I make a point of never leaving anything visible in my car, when it's parked. Not even a pack of smokes.

It was in my glove compartment, and my doors where locked. I don't live in that disgusting city, I live in a quiet neighborhood about 5 hours northwest of it. They grabbed a couple CD's and a cheaper knife too!

Man that sucks. I take it you live in a smallish town. Keep your eyes open. Most dumbass lowlife thieves come back for more easy pickins.

Don't blame yourself. I can understand leaving a fixed-blade in the car. Sometimes you don't want the discomfort of a solid knife. Othertimes, it might be hard to hide a knife when you will be around "delicate" people.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. When I need to leave something of value in my car, I will often put it in the trunk and then lock the trunk release lever. A theif would need to tear the trunk apart to get inside, and that would cause a scene.

+1:thumbup:I do the same thing. It's a shame we have to worry about these scumbags trying to rob us all the time.GET A DAMN JOB! LOWLIVES!!

Friggin scumbags indeed. You shouldn't feel bad about leaving it in your car i n all reality you should be able to expect a measure of security nfor your property. Trouble is they don't do anything to these thieves these days, fact is they don't even male any real effort to cath em. I have a rather extreme view of what to do with thieves, which I wont share.

Thanks guys. I screwed up my original post, it was a RC3 that was stolen, not a rat 3!!! Don't want you guys to think I support Ontario.

Man, sorry to hear about that. My car was broken into years ago at home and they managed to get a butterfly knife I had in the center console :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:. But the weird thing is they lifted the $60 I had sitting on top of that to get to the knife and left the money :confused:

I guess I have been lucky. We have had breakin's on every house around me on the street, including the cops that lives two houses up, but for some reason, my car/house hasn't been hit. I keep a CERT bag in there with serveral folders and a TAK, and I would be bummed if it got taken. :/

Of course maybe ther reason I havent been hit is because I look like I dont have anything worth taking....

Sorry to hear about your RC3.

That sucks. Sorry for your loss. I keep my Rat Model 1 folder in a Survival Pouch with various gear and a PSK in my work vehicle, but it is out of sight. At work, I tote my RC-3 either in my left front pocket or hanging as a neck knife under my shirt.

Man, that Blows. I recently had about 2k worth of gear stolen out of my pickup, including a Sig 9mm.

Sorry for your loss man. I hate thieves.
