Saturday I went up to Texarkana to visit a friend. This coincided with Hurricane Ike's journey East Texas. My friend was worried about her Dad; his electricity was off and his health is poor. We drove out to his farm in very high winds and sheeting, torrential rain. A huge treetop fell across the road blocking our way. Of course, I had my RC-4 in the car with me, so I got out and made short work of the limbs. The road was soon cleared and we were on out way.

Thanks, RAT, for making a quality tool I can depend on in harsh situations. I will never be without my RAT. You guys are the best!

It is surprising what you can do with even a small fixed blade knife. Good thing you had a quality one like the RC-4.

Great story and glad the RC came through for you.

Her Dad lives towards Fouke, in the 71/237 intersection area. We went to the Fair on Sunday and a lot of folks in Miller & Bowie Counties talking about power outages and brush cleanup from the storm Saturday. Sunday was a beautiful day, though.

Just a few miles from the Sulfur River WMA and the Smith Park shooting range. About 2 months ago we caught about 3 ice chests full of big 'ol crawdads down there, Mmmmm good!!

My RC4 was my belt knife of choice in the aftermath of Ike. Worked like a mini chainsaw on all my various post storm targets.

That's good to hear. Glad it worked out for you!
