Not that I was particularly bothered but my RC-3 only came with the plastic sheath and with not the black molle backing.
I told Heinnie Haynes, the UK shop where I got it from, to check the other RAT Cutlery knives just in case. The owner did tell me that they normally come with the backing for the plastic sheath. They're nice people at Heinnie Haynes and they've given me a couple of freebies so I told him it was no problem for me.

It all depends on what equipment they order with the knife. We offer just with the molded sheath and MOLLE Locks (cheaper) and also molded sheath with MOLLE back (more expensive). All of this is on our site and MSRP price lists.

The picture on their website was the "full monty", the whole kaboodle.
I just wanted to tell them in case any of their other customers might be upset.
I like the plastic sheath and screw on clip.
The only thing about clipping onto my belt is I'm worried about "going arse over tit" and the knife busting my ribs.
Not such a problem in an "urban" environment of course, but I'm such a clumsy #unt in the outdoors that it's not a good place to put the knife.
No problems though, the knife will easily fit in a trouser pocket or in the front pocket of my smock.
It's also light enough to hang round my neck.

It might be worth it to buy the MOLLE back separately. I wouldn't want to do without it, it's so versatile.
