Hi people! Not much net access but just a short note to say that the BR is coping extremely well in the Western Australian desert (Pilbarra).

Completed various tasks and it soon became a big hit with the guys in Auscam. I did take some pics and a quick glance shows that the supplied camera sucks! Wish I had of taken my own but was a no goer... I will post em up anyways, sorry for the quality. BTW, hot as hell out this way and I feared the handles would become slippery with sweaty palms...nope, the Rc is an awesome material! One thing though Eric, you should have named the BR the 'Camp Tramp'...I have a hard time getting it back and these guys are bigger than me!;)

Found an old Aboriginal hut too, a rigi dig one mates, interesting pics and how they set it up to cope with the weather is very interesting. Later and be safe! Time to go play with death adders again...:(

very, very dissapointed with the pics that their camera put out. But here they are anyway, you will get the idea.

1.side view of the Aboriginal hut.

4.In front of the hut was a stone fire place like structure. This would no doubt throw back heat into the hut on those cold desert nights. A good idea!

5.Quarter side of the hut. Spinnifex was used to latch through the saplings to possibly add as a wind / sun barrier from that direction.

7.I found a rock nearby that had been chiselled down on two sides, possibly used as a cutting instrument. It was extremely sharp! It wqs left there.

8.The view from the rear of the hut. A close water supply essential in this country.

9.I have seen Dingo tracks and Dingo tracks....this, is one big frikking Dingo!!! Maybe why there is currently no residence at the hut...

10.Back at base camp after a long and sweaty hike, there is nothing like a Crown Lager to quench the thirst. even a warm one!;)

Sorry for the pics, quality is depressing me, going to drink more Crownies now.

Looks like you had a helluva trip there Guy, see any croc's on your outing:)

No crocs here Raden, too low on the map. There are many Death Adders, scorpions and water Pythons to keep you busy though! A croc trip is planned after Christmas and the CT/HR combo will be tagging along. I will see how close I can get for a pic...:( :D

Great Pics Guy. :D:D

If you get a pic of a Croc with the CT in it's mouth I'll give you a Dollar ;):D:D

Thanks for the pics looks like you had a good time :D

Eric, that a US dollar too! Worth 2$2 to me! You got a deal my good friend!;)
