Thanks Lycosa! :D It means a lot...

I have one more I will finish tomorrow with a neon green/purple/multi ano finish and toxic/neon green scales!

Wow, that is some wickedly cool anodizing! Great job Daniel, it's awesome!

Thanks! I am really excited with the way it turned out.

It is cool when you find a new technique, I have a pile of anodized stuff that looks like garbage in hopes of finding new ways to do things. I'm working on this crazy "Plaid" ano or "squares" ano right now to no avail. Soon! :D

What will happen to the carbidization if I heat-anodize my Ti bottle-opener knife?

From my experience with propane and map gas torches it will be just fine. I don't think anything can really hurt the carbide besides grinding it away.

If the carbide on my Ti knives ever wears out I will re carbidize it for free. I doubt I will ever have to but I do offer the service.

awesome. playing with the torch later.

I should have mentioned, clean it very thoroughly a few times and heat it somewhat evenly. I know you may need to heat it unevenly for color variation but try not to really torch one spot while another spot is cool to avoid warpage. (I never have any visible warpage but I hear it can happen)

Good luck with it! I bet it will be awesome!
