Since the customer has gotten this one, I figure it is safe to post it now.Paul Long recommended me to this customer, and this is the result. Rawhide over veg-tan, and decorations are aged tin cones, horsehair, deerskin fringe, antique trade beads, and brass tacks, and a mammoth ivory concho and bead. The knife is by the customer.

I love that style of sheathwork! :) That is absolutly beautiful.

John , that looks great bud.Perfect match for the knife as well.Dwayne ,John does some of the best period work out there.Dave:)

It does go really well with the knife! I like the round head studs much better than the flat copper.

John, that knife and sheath was shown at the Central Texas Knife Show this week end and the owner was very careful to put a "sold" sign in front of it so no one would even try to buy it. It also had a nice card giving you credit by name for the sheath.

Paul

Thank you one and all. Paul, My friend Chad Nichols(damascus smith) was at that show and told me he saw the sheath and knife there. It was nice to get the exposure, and thank you again for the recommendation!

Amazing. That is something greater than a knife sheath, greater than art.

Thanks John.It took me several years of expeirmenting before I got results that I was really happy with, but I think I mave have it now, but I still constantly play around with different techniques.
